You'll build and maintain the Shopify Plus storefronts behind our retained clients' test programmes — theme architecture, custom apps, and the performance budget every page has to hit. You'll work directly with our CRO strategists, shipping the variants their tests need without ever wrecking a Lighthouse score. This is a senior-leaning role: you own the codebase, we give you the roadmap.

Main duties & responsibilities

Build and maintain Shopify Plus themes and custom apps for 3–4 retained clients.Ship A/B test variants for our CRO team — clean, revertable, and fast.Own page-speed budgets; nothing ships that regresses Core Web Vitals.Review pull requests and pair with the rest of the engineering team.Integrate third-party apps and APIs without turning the theme into spaghetti.Document your work so the next engineer — or the client's own team — can pick it up.

What we need to see

3+ years building production Shopify themes (Liquid, Online Store 2.0 sections).Comfortable in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern build toolchain.A track record of hitting performance budgets, not just deadlines.Experience shipping into a live A/B testing environment.Evidence over ego: show us a gnarly bug you fixed and how.
